PC Magazine on Tuesday announced the winners of its 20th annual Awards for Technical Excellence, which recognize products or technologies that have “advanced the state of the art; and will have a significant impact on the future directions of technology.” Apple’s Power Mac G5 won the top spot for the overall best personal computer.

PC Magazine today announced the finalists for its 19th annual Awards for Technical Excellence. The awards recognize “individuals and products that have advanced the state of technology and set new standards for technical innovation in 2002.” Apple’s iMac is named as a finalist in the Desktop PC category, and the iPod is a finalist in the Mobile Devices category.
