Pooch clustering software gets Tiger update

Dauger Research has released Pooch 1.6, a new version of its clustering software for Mac OS X. Version 1.6 leverages new technologies delivered by Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger, and offers new enhancements, including “playlist”-like node lists and network tools, enriching the user experience of supercomputer-compatible cluster computing. Pooch 1.4 is available for US$175 for the first compute node then $125 for each node thereafter, while Pooch Pro 1.6 is available for $200 for the first compute node then $150 for each node thereafter.

Pooch clustering software for Mac gets update

Dauger Research has released Pooch 1.4, a new version of its clustering software for Mac OS X. The updated version offers a new graphically-based, dynamic job queue and scheduling system taking advantage of Pooch’s built-in heuristic functions and cluster diagnostics. It also sports an updated graphical user interface taking advantage of features introduced in Mac OS X 10.3 Panther. Pooch 1.3 builds on Rendezvous and multiprocessing

Dauger Research has shipped Pooch 1.3, the latest update to their Parallel OperatiOn and Control Heuristic cluster management software. Version 1.3 enables application writers to launch multiple parallel-computing tasks per node, automatically taking advantage of multiprocessor Macs and OS X’s preemptive multitasking. In addition, Pooch now uses Rendezvous, supplementing Service Location Protocol, to perform registration, discovery, and resolution of cluster nodes over local networks and the Internet.
