Extensis today released a free update to Portfolio 7, the company’s Digital Asset Management (DAM) solution for creative professionals, for both Macintosh and Windows. Portfolio 7.0.6 provides compatibility updates for Adobe’s Creative Suite 2 and Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger. Additionally, the company has added support for 14 new camera formats with its new Raw Filter 2.

The update includes file format support for MPEG-2 and MPEG-4, an updated filter for digital camera Raw images, as well as new and updated SQL connect modules for Microsoft SQL, Microsoft MSDE, MySQL and Oracle databases. Extensis today announced Portfolio 7, a major update to its digital asset management (DAM) solution for organizing digital photos, illustrations, page layouts and presentations. Portfolio 7 includes several new features, including NetPublish—an add-on module that automates the process of turning Portfolio catalogs into full-featured Web sites—with no knowledge of HTML or JavaScript required. Other enhancements include built-in CD burning, batch image conversion, and the ability to embed IPTC metadata.
