Apple today released QuickTime 6.5.2, an update to the company’s multimedia software. According to the release notes, version 6.5.2 is an important release that includes a security update and bug fixes. This release also includes enhancements in the Apple Lossless Encoder and AAC codecs, as well as improved support for iTunes and other QuickTime-based applications.

However, the security firm claims that Apple is downplaying the seriousness of the flaw in its advisory.
