According to eWeek, Apple plans to rename its Rendezvous technology to OpenTalk as part of a trademark settlement with TIBCO Software. A representative of TIBCO said that the suit had been “amicably resolved” but declined to comment further. In August 2003, TIBOC filed suit against Apple for trademark infringement of the company’s Rendezvous marks.
