Philip W. Schiller, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Worldwide Product Marketing, will present the keynote address at Apple Expo Paris later this month. The Apple Expo 2004 Keynote presentation will be held at the Palais des Congrès in Paris, on Tuesday, August 31 at 10:00 a.m. Apple CEO Steve Jobs, who presented the keynote last year, is presently on leave following successful surgery for a rare form of pancreatic cancer. He is expected to work in September.

BusinessWeek has published edited excerpts of an interview with Phil Schiller, Apple’s senior vice-president for worldwide product marketing, in which he discusses the new iTunes Music Store. When asked what it will take to make the store profitable, he responded: “We’re not looking at it in terms of a stand-alone business. It’s part of all the things we’re doing at Apple. And first of all, I hope it can drive more iPod business.
