Roxio has released Toast 6 Titanium 6.0.7, the latest version of its popular CD/DVD authoring software. Version 6.0.7 brings Double-Layer (DL) support for data, audio, video and copy formats; simplified creation of DVDs from pre-existing VIDEO_TS folders; MIDI Karaoke (KAR) Support; improved video encoding; an updated Deja Vu backup scheduler; and several bug fixes.

Roxio today announced that its popular Toast 6 line of software will soon be DVD Double Layer (DL) compatible, allowing Mac users to take advantage of this technology for the first time. The new DVD+R Double Layer capabilities of Toast 6 Titanium and Toast with Jam 6 will enable users to burn nearly twice the amount of personal data (from 4.7GB to 8.5GB), or record more than three hours of MPEG-2 (DVD-quality) video content on a single DVD+R DL disc.

Roxio has posted Toast 5.2.3 Titanium, an update to its CD and DVD burning software. Version 5.2.3 enables the Buffer Underrun Prevention option for combination DVD+R/RW and DVD-R/RW recorders when using -R/RW media. Earlier this month, Roxio released Toast 6.0.3.

Roxio is now shipping Toast Titanium 6, the latest version of its popular CD and DVD burning software for Mac OS X. “We began shipping to the distributors the day the press release was issued, and they began shipping to retailers early last week, so the product should have just started to appear on store shelves during the holiday weekend,” Roxio’s Elizabeth Olson told MacMinute.
