Virtix today announced the immediate availability of Virtix Zoom and Pan 3.0, a new version of its iMovie plug-in with its own custom user interface that allows you to zoom into, pan across, and rotate around moving clips and high-resolution still images. Version 3.0 adds support for iMovie 3 on Mac OS X. Virtix Zoom and Pan can be purchased for US$34.99.

Virtix today announced the release of Virtix Effects for Final Cut Pro and AfterEffects, an update to the Virtix Effects for Final Cut Pro package, which was not previously AfterEffects-compatible. Virtix Effects are compatible with AfterEffects 4.1 and higher and Final Cut Pro 1.2.5 and higher, on both Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X. The package contains 30 special effects including: Blur Edges, Bubble, Crosseyed, Edge Detector, Emboss, Extreme Black and White, and many, many more.

Virtix has announced the immediate availability of Virtix Zoom and Pan 2.0 for iMovie. Virtix Zoom and Pan 2.0 is a unified product which is meant as an enhanced replacement for the separate Virtix Zoom 1.1 and Virtix Pan and Scan 1.0 products. Like the products it replaces, it can be used on moving video and still images. However, this new product now uses the full resolution of high-quality still images.

Version 1.0 contained 20 filters for iMovie which allowed users to alter and correct images, highlight objects and add unique color effects to their videos. Virtix today announced the immediate availability of Virtix Effects for Final Cut Pro, a package of 30 professional-grade special effect plug-ins for Apple’s popular video editing application. The package consists of several all-new effects (Bubbles, Rain, Snow, Point-To-Point Laser, and Zap), and a host of effects previously made available as part of eight packages of effects for iMovie, which have been revised for use in Final Cut Pro (Blur Edges, Funhouse, Glint, Spotlight, Witness Protection, and many more).
