WiebeTech today announced price reductions (ranging from US$20 to $90) on the high-end versions of its MicroGB+ pocket drives. WiebeTech has announced price reductions on several of its popular storage products. “The amount of the reductions vary by product. For example, the extremely popular MicroGB+ pocket drive with a 40GB, 5400RPM, 8MB cache drive has been reduced $40, from $269.95 to $229.95. At the top end of the scale, the price of the 1.2 Terabyte Quad BayDockTM FireWire storage system has been cut from $3,995 to $2,539.” More than 35 different product configurations have been permanently reduced in price. WiebeTech today announced several new FireWire products including BayDock and Forensic BayDock, FireWire Encrypt and USB2 Encrypt, and MicroGB800. BayDock is a flexible FireWire storage system with one, two or four removable bays and capacity to 1.2 Terabytes.

WiebeTech has announced price reductions of its DesktopGB FireWire enclosures. “We have set the price for the 120GB DesktopGB at US$189.95, matching the old pricing of our 80GB unit, so the user is now able to get 50% more capacity for the same price,” said James Wiebe, CEO of WiebeTech LLC in the press release. The price of WiebeTech’s configurable DesktopGB enclosure has also been reduced to $79.95.

WiebeTech today announced the availability of a 250GB/7200RPM version of the DesktopGB+, its fanless, high performance FireWire storage device in a aluminum enclosure. The new high capacity drive is priced at US$599.95. Smaller capacities are also available, along with an empty, user configurable version.
